New Gisborne Podiatry
New Gisborne Podiatry

Podiatry is a healthcare profession focused on the assessment, treatment and prevention of conditions affecting the feet, ankles and lower limbs. As the foundation of movement, foot and lower-limb health plays a key role in posture, mobility and overall physical wellbeing.

At Emerge Health & Wellness Hub, our Gisborne podiatrists work with people of all ages to manage a wide range of conditions, including foot and ankle pain, sports injuries, plantar fasciitis, heel pain, nail and skin conditions, and biomechanical issues. We also provide care for injury rehabilitation, movement efficiency and injury prevention.
Podiatry treatment is individualised and evidence-based, and may include thorough assessment, hands-on treatment, rehabilitation exercises, footwear advice and custom foot orthotics where appropriate. Our focus is on understanding the cause of your symptoms and supporting long-term outcomes, not just short-term relief.

Whether you’re recovering from an injury, managing ongoing foot pain, or looking to move more comfortably in daily life or sport, podiatry can help improve function, reduce pain and support confident movement.

Initial Podiatry Consultation
45 minutes
Your initial podiatry consultation is a comprehensive first appointment designed to understand your concerns and identify the underlying cause of your symptoms. This session includes a detailed history, thorough assessment of your feet and lower limbs, and evaluation of movement and biomechanics where appropriate.

We will discuss your goals, explain findings in plain language, and develop an individualised treatment plan tailored to your needs. This may include hands-on treatment, rehabilitation exercises, footwear advice, and recommendations for further care if required.

Podiatry Review Consultation
30 minutes
A review consultation is a follow-up appointment for existing patients who have previously attended an initial podiatry consultation. This session allows your podiatrist to reassess your progress and continue care based on your personalised treatment plan.

The appointment may include review of symptoms, reassessment of movement and biomechanics, progression of rehabilitation exercises, and further hands-on treatment where appropriate. For nail or skin conditions, the focus is on ongoing management to maintain comfort and prevent recurrence.

Your treatment plan will be adjusted as needed, with clear guidance provided to support recovery, performance, or long-term foot health.
