Our Story and Our Mission
Emerge Health and Wellness Hub was born from a simple vision: to create a place where our local community could access exceptional allied health care, all under one roof.
We are Naomi and Brett (and Milo, the good boy), high school sweethearts, proud locals born and bred in Gisborne, and the founders of Emerge. What started as a small chiropractic clinic in Gisborne five years ago has grown into something much bigger. Over that time, we have moved locations, evolved our name, expanded our services, and most importantly, built incredible relationships with the Gisborne and Macedon Ranges community.
We are incredibly grateful for the trust our community has placed in us, including nearly 60 five-star Google reviews from patients who have supported our journey and allowed us to be part of their health and wellbeing.
From the beginning, our mission has been to do healthcare differently. We wanted to create more than just a place where people come in, receive treatment, and leave, we wanted to create a true health hub where people feel listened to, supported, and cared for.
We believe patients deserve more time, more personalised care, and a team of professionals working together towards the same goal. By bringing multiple allied health practitioners together, we can communicate, collaborate, and ensure every person receives a complete approach to their health, not just isolated treatments.
We are passionate about helping people move better, perform better, and live healthier for longer. This passion has driven us to develop our rehabilitation gym, where we can support patients beyond hands-on care through strength, movement, exercise, and long-term health strategies.
We are super proud to have created a space that now offers Gisborne, New Gisborne and the surrounding regions, Osteopathy, Chiropractic, Remedial Massage, counselling, rehab and pilates. While we are proud of how far Emerge has come, we are even more excited about where we are heading. Our vision is to continue growing, bringing more services, more expertise, and more opportunities for our community to access world-class health care close to home.

Both our Chiropractors and Osteopaths go beyond the traditional model to provide a more personalised, results-driven experience. Firstly, both our Chiropractors and Osteopaths spend significantly more time with you—our shortest sessions are two to three times longer than the industry standard. This allows for a deeper understanding of your condition and more effective, individualised care. Secondly, we’re not about quick fixes or “band-aid” solutions. Our Chiropractors and Osteopaths are dedicated to identifying and treating the root cause of your discomfort, aiming for long-term results rather than temporary relief. We also offer a gentler, low-force approach. If you're not comfortable with manual adjustments or the classic "crack," we provide low-risk, high-reward techniques tailored to your needs—ensuring your treatment feels safe, effective, and right for you. Importantly, we don’t believe in cookie-cutter care plans or locking you into pre-paid packages. Every treatment plan is designed around your goals, your lifestyle, and your progress. If you're seeing multiple practitioners and are comfortable with shared care, we work seamlessly behind the scenes to align your treatments. For example, your chiropractor may recommend that your remedial massage therapist focus on a specific area, while the massage therapist may provide insights back to the chiropractor, enhancing the effectiveness of your care. This open communication ensures your treatments are targeted, efficient, and completely tailored to you. We don’t offer one-size-fits-all care—we deliver personalised, integrated health solutions designed around you.

What does an osteopath treat? Osteopaths assess and treat a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions, including back pain, neck pain, headaches, shoulder pain, sports injuries, sciatica, hip pain and joint stiffness. Treatment focuses on improving movement, reducing pain and helping your body function at its best. At Emerge Health & Wellness Hub, our osteopath takes a whole-body approach, looking beyond where the pain is to identify the underlying cause. If you're experiencing pain or reduced mobility, booking an osteopathy appointment is a great first step towards recovery.
Do I need a referral to see an osteopath or a Chiropractor? No. You do not need a referral from your GP to book an appointment with an Osteopath or a Chiropractor? Many private health funds provide rebates for osteopathy, and in some cases you may be eligible to access treatment through a GP Management Plan. If you're unsure, our team is happy to help you understand your options and book the right appointment.
Can a Chiropractic and Osteopathy help with sports injuries? Yes. Both Chiropractors and Osteopaths commonly treat sports injuries such as muscle strains, ligament sprains, tendon pain, shoulder injuries, knee pain and running-related injuries. Treatment aims to reduce pain, restore movement and help you return to training or competition safely. Your osteopath or chiropractor may also provide exercises and advice to improve performance and reduce the risk of future injuries.
